Bay Capital Mortgage deployed LenderLogix LiteSpeed with Encompass integration for applications, documents and borrower tasks. The company did not disclose measured savings or conversion results.

Bay Capital Mortgage Corporation has deployed LenderLogix’s LiteSpeed mortgage point-of-sale platform, giving its loan officers a new borrower application and document-management system tied to Encompass.

The Annapolis, Maryland-based lender announced the rollout October 19 in a release issued by technology provider LenderLogix. LiteSpeed allows borrowers to apply on mobile devices, upload documents, complete tasks and communicate during origination. The platform also includes electronic signatures, preapproval-letter generation, fee collection and AI-assisted workflow features, according to the vendor.

The deployment is a technology change inside an established lender, rather than the launch of a new mortgage product. Bay Capital, founded in 1994, operates in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast and says purchase business remains central to its strategy. It did not disclose how many originators are using the system or whether all branches have completed migration.

Chief executive Tim Gough said the lender wants tools that make loan officers’ work easier and improve the borrower experience. President and chief production officer Nick Thomas framed the decision around reducing repetitive tasks and giving originators more time with customers and referral partners. Those are company objectives; the announcement contains no independently measured change in processing times, costs or pull-through rates.

LiteSpeed’s integration with Encompass is significant because a lender’s point-of-sale system must transfer application data and borrower documents into the system of record. Poorly connected platforms can require staff to rekey information or chase documents in several places. The vendor says its integration is intended to reduce that friction; the announcement does not provide an independent technical assessment.

LenderLogix chief executive Patrick O’Brien described the deployment as a way to provide a more connected borrower experience without another disconnected system. The technology company also sells products for preapproval letters, payments and borrower communications.

Competition among mortgage point-of-sale vendors has intensified as lenders try to lower costs in a subdued origination market. WRE News previously reported that LenderLogix added homeowners-insurance shopping to its borrower portal. Monday’s Bay Capital announcement demonstrates a lender deployment, but it does not establish adoption levels for the wider product line.

For mortgage professionals evaluating similar systems, the useful follow-up measures will be borrower completion rates, duplicate-data entry, document turnaround times and compliance controls. Bay Capital has not published those figures, leaving the rollout’s financial impact to be demonstrated in production.
