A federal judge dismissed a woman’s civil lawsuit claiming by three brothers of a prominent real estate industry family, stating she did not meet a filing deadline.

The New York Times reports Judge Lewis A. Kaplan of Federal District Court in Manhattan ruled the claim brought by Angelica Parker was filed past the statute of limitations. Parker alleged that she was sexually assaulted at a Manhattan in the fall of 2012 by Tal and Alon Alexander while their brother Oren watched.

Parker filed her lawsuit in June 2024, past the statute of limitations expiration which occurred at the end of 2023. The Alexanders’ lawyers questioned her credibility, calling her a “professional plaintiff” while noting a failed 2012 lawsuit she filed against boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya that accused him of battery, assault and false imprisonment.

However, the Alexander brothers still face criminal charges on sex trafficking and civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault. They are being held in federal custody in Brooklyn and have been denied bond in federal court. The brothers have denied any wrongdoing.

Tal and Oren Alexander were brokers at Douglas Elliman before starting their own firm Official in 2022; their brother Alon is an executive with the family’s private security firm. The brothers are the sons of the high-profile Miami developer Shlomy Alexander.
