Minto Communities USA and Margaritaville Holdings announced the expansion of the Latitude Margaritaville active adult community concept into Texas.

The new 1,318-acre community will be based in Texas City along Galveston Bay and will feature approximately 3,500 residences that include single-family, villa and cottage homes. The community will also include the signature amenities of the Latitude Margaritaville portfolio including a Town Square with a bandshell for live music and dancing, a Fins Up! Fitness Center, Latitude Bar & Chill restaurant, Workin’ N’ Playin’ Center, Last Mango Theater, Paradise Pool, Changes in Attitude poolside bar, tennis, pickleball and bocce ball courts, and a Barkaritaville Dog Park and Pet Spa, and more.

Latitude Margaritaville communities are developed by Minto Communities USA under license from Margaritaville and are designed around a shared passion for tropical escape and relaxation. Latitude Margaritaville Galveston Bay will be situated between State Highways 3 and 146, north of the Emmett F. Lowry Expressway and extending toward Moses Bayou.

“This is an exciting milestone for Minto as we expand into Texas and introduce Latitude Margaritaville to the Greater Houston market,” said Minto Communities Division President, Acquisitions and Development Dutch Neuweiler. “We appreciate the thoughtful engagement and support of Texas City officials throughout this process and share their vision for creating a community that will have a positive impact well beyond its boundaries. With its location on Galveston Bay and access to everything the surrounding area has to offer, we believe this is an exceptional setting for those interested in the iconic lifestyle our communities provide.”
