Simple Content Summary: Gencom and White Bridge Capital acquired the 652-room InterContinental Miami. The companies did not disclose a purchase price; industry reports estimate approximately $300 million.

Gencom and Miami-based White Bridge Capital have acquired the 652-room InterContinental Miami, adding a prominent downtown waterfront hotel to Gencom’s expanding portfolio of luxury hospitality properties.

The companies announced the transaction on October 30, 2026. They did not disclose the purchase price. Bloomberg, as cited by CoStar, reported an estimated $300 million sale price, which the buyers have not confirmed.

A Major Waterfront Hotel Changes Hands

The 34-story hotel stands at 100 Chopin Plaza, where the Miami River meets Biscayne Bay. It has 35 meeting rooms and more than 90,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, positioning it to serve convention, corporate and leisure travelers.

The property recently underwent renovations to guestrooms, the Club InterContinental Lounge, pool cabanas and the SkyLawn event area. The acquisition gives Gencom another established luxury asset in a market where the company already owns interests in the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne and Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove.

Institutional Capital Targets Established Hospitality Assets

White Bridge Capital said it and its international family-office partners supplied a significant portion of the acquisition’s equity. Neither the precise equity contribution nor the transaction’s financing terms were disclosed.

The acquisition is Gencom’s second InterContinental-branded hotel following its purchase of the InterContinental New York Times Square in late 2025. Gencom is also advancing its Miami Riverbridge redevelopment project, a proposed mixed-use undertaking with Hyatt that the company describes as exceeding $1.5 billion in private investment.

For commercial real estate investors, the transaction illustrates continued interest in renovated, well-located hospitality assets with multiple revenue streams. The reported valuation should be treated as an attributed estimate until transaction documents or the parties establish a definitive price.
