Hines is moving to its next generation of leadership, naming Adam Hines co-CEO alongside Laura Hines-Pierce effective Jan. 1, 2027.

Generational transition at a global real estate firm

Laura Hines-Pierce has served as co-CEO for more than five years. Under the new structure, she and Adam Hines will jointly lead the firm, set strategic priorities and make major firmwide decisions.

Hines said Jeff Hines will focus primarily on advising the co-CEOs as chairman. The company is also creating an independent external advisory board to provide outside perspectives and counsel, although the board will not have governance authority.

The transition also extends to Hines Global Income Trust. Laura Hines-Pierce will replace Jeff Hines as CEO and chair of its board, while Adam Hines will join the board as a director.

The changes represent a significant succession step for one of the world’s best-known privately held real estate investment and development organizations.
