Iowa recorded 4,212 closed home sales in June, a 13.2% surge from May’s 3,729 closed sales and a 10.9% uptick from the 3,799 sales recorded one year earlier.
According to data from Iowa Realtors, pending sales totaled 3,431 in June, an 11% drop from 3,853 in May and a modest 1% increase from 3,398 one year before.
June also saw a 10.5% year-over-year jump in new listings – 4,830 last month compared to 4,373 in June 2025. However, there was a 0.8% dip from the 4,867 new listings in May.

Active inventory rose to 9,088 properties statewide, a 7.3% increase from May’s 8,466 listings and an 8.4% rise from the 8,382 properties on the market in June 2025
The median sales price reached $265,000, a 5.8% rise from May’s $250,500 and a 6% increase from June 2025’s median of $250,000.
