RealScout plans to integrate eXp Realty’s Coming Soon listings into its agent-client search platform later this year, creating another distribution channel for homes before they become active listings.
The companies announced the agreement October 27. Real Estate News reported the agreement, while Inman interviewed RealScout leadership about its scope. No firm launch date or listing count has been disclosed.
Connecting Two Approaches to Early Marketing
The planned integration follows RealScout’s agreement to display Zillow Preview inventory, positioning its platform to surface early-marketed listings from different brokerage distribution arrangements. RealScout says more than 100,000 real estate professionals have access to its platform.
RealScout co-founder Andrew Flachner told Inman that eXp’s Coming Soon properties still enter MLS systems, although not all MLSs distribute that status to outside platforms. The integration is intended to bridge that gap rather than create an off-MLS network.
eXp previously expanded distribution of Coming Soon listings through Zenlist to several national portals, subject to local MLS rules. Showings and offers during the early-marketing period remain governed by applicable MLS requirements.
The agreement reflects an intensifying competition over when buyers can see inventory and how much access is available through the agent they already work with. It should be described as a planned integration, not a service already live.
