House Speaker Mike Johsnon (R-LA) will send President Trump the 21st Century ROAD to Housing bill today, days after the president abruptly canceled a Capitol Hill signing ceremony last week.
Speaking yesterday on Fox News, Johnson offered assurance that the legislation, which passed with overwhelming bipartisan support in both chambers of Congress, is on track to become law.
“I’m going to send the bill over to him on Monday, and it will become law,” Johnson said. “I certainly want him to take the biggest, boldest marker that he has and do that big Trump signature proudly on that legislation because we’re delivering for the people, and that’s what he wants to do.”
However, the White House did not commit to having the president sign the bill, which he initially championed before reversing course and dismissing it as being of “minor importance.” Trump stated he would not sign the bill until the Senate first passed the SAVE America Act, but that seems unlikely because no Democratic senators favor that bill’s efforts to require photo identification for voting in federal elections and proof of citizenship when registering to vote.
Johnson added that he met with Trump after the cancellation of the signing ceremony had discussed the housing bill “in great detail.”
“We made a lot of promises to the voters, and we’re fulfilling those every single day of this Congress,” he continued. “This is a big part of that because this will increase the availability, the access to more housing, bring down cost, cut regulations, do the things we know are very important for that market. The president and I talked about that at length. Of course he wants to do those things.”
If Trump does not sign the housing bill into law within the next 10 days (excluding Sunday), it would become law unless he chose to veto it. Based on the support for the bill, Congress would be able to override the presidential veto.
It’s insulting that this joke of a President yesterday described the Bipartisan housing bill as a ‘Big Yawn’ as far as he is concerned. All he cares about is cheating at the Midterms by eliminating voters. Trump does not give a crap about ordinary Americans and this economy.

It’s refreshing that this hero of a President yesterday described the Bipartisan housing bill as a ‘Big Yawn’ as far as he is concerned. All he cares about is saving America by stopping the Democrats from cheating at the Midterms by manufacturing voters. Trump loves ordinary Americans and this economy. Democrats hate America and the Democrat party is evil. The Democrat party is Crime Inc, Pedophilia Inc, Hate Inc, and on and on. and those are the good points. We need to trade Democrats for European soccer fans who love America. The Democrat party is a violent threat to Western Civilization.
As someone who votes for a candidate and not along party lines, if the fraud is so widespread, then why are the Republicans in charge of both Congress and the Presidency? Also, why did this so-called fraud not become a real problem until the last 10 or so years? I have posed this question to many people and have never gotten a concrete answer.
