Zillow has launched a connector for Anthropic’s Claude AI assistant, allowing consumers to search homes for sale or rent, view property information and explore affordability without first leaving their conversation.

Announced October 19, the integration brings Zillow’s home listings, interactive maps, home-value estimates and affordability tools into Claude. Users can ask for homes that meet particular budgets and preferences, then follow links to explore properties on Zillow.

From an AI conversation to a home tour

The experience also provides paths to request a tour, connect with a real estate agent or explore financing. Zillow says its goal is to connect AI-assisted research to real estate professionals and next steps in the transaction, rather than leave consumers with a list of suggested homes.

To enable the connector, Claude users open Customize, select Connectors and connect Zillow. They can then ask for homes or rentals using natural-language requests, such as a specified number of bedrooms, price ceiling and location.

MLS attribution remains part of the display

Zillow says its own MLS-approved listing display appears inside Claude, retaining the broker and MLS attribution used on Zillow.com. According to the company, it does not send listing data to Anthropic to power the integration.

That distinction matters for an industry where listing permissions, brokerage attribution and the destination of consumer inquiries are central business concerns. Zillow’s announcement describes its implementation; it does not establish how every other AI real estate integration handles listing data.

What it means for agents and lenders

For agents and mortgage professionals, the development adds another place where prospective buyers may begin their search. Consumers can move from a broad AI question to listings, agent connections and financing options in one workflow.

The announcement does not provide adoption figures, conversion rates or evidence that AI-assisted searches are displacing conventional property portals. Those outcomes remain to be measured.

Zillow already has an experience in ChatGPT and a rentals-focused integration in Gemini. The Claude launch extends that distribution strategy to another major AI assistant.
