The nonprofit Elevate Branson has begun work at Elevate Community, a tiny home development in Branson, Missouri.

The new development recently marked the arrival of the first six tiny homes and more than $5 million in public and private funding to start construction. Additional resources will be required to complete the 70-home development.

Elevate Community will feature 400-square-foot tiny homes that include a fully furnished bedroom, a full bath, and a separate kitchen and living space. The homes are built off-site by SolSource Greenbuild in Neosho, Missouri, and transported to the community.

Elevate Community is designed to address the shortage of affordable housing in Branson, a major tourist destination where much of the local population works low-paying jobs – 22% of Branson residents living in poverty, nearly double the national average.

“The Branson challenge is real, and Elevate Community is our comprehensive answer,” said Bryan Stallings, who co-founded Elevate Branson with wife Amy. “We believe in addressing the root causes of poverty, not with handouts, but with a focus on meaningful employment and lasting change. Elevate Community is more than just housing; it’s a testament to hope, dignity, and the power of a supportive community to help our neighbors help themselves.”
