Seth Frotman is reportedly stepping down as the general counsel of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
Frotman’s departure was reported by Bloomberg Law, which based its reporting on input from “multiple sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss his departure.” Neither Frotman nor the CFPB commented on the report.
Frotman joined the CFPB in October 2021 and was one of the first hires by Rohit Chopra when he became the agency’s director. Chopra was fired last Saturday by President Trump, who named Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent as CFPB acting director.
Frotman was previously the executive director of the Student Borrower Protection Center before taking the CFPB general counsel job. He previously worked at the CFPB during the Obama administration, holding multiple positions before finally achieving the role of assistant director in the Office for Students & Student Loan Ombudsman.

CFPB rogue operation created by Elizabeth Warren. Utilized to fund money to democrat operatives. Needs to be closed.
Since CFPB got Billions of dollars from banks abusing their customers why should we close CFPB down.
Is it logical to close the police department, just because we do not like the Police Chief, how are we going to handle the criminals.
