SERHANT. launched in Chicago with more than 40 agents representing more than $600 million in trailing sales as the brokerage continues its national expansion.
SERHANT. has entered the Chicago market with more than 40 agents representing more than $600 million in trailing 12-month sales, extending the New York-founded brokerage’s national expansion into one of the country’s largest residential markets.
The launch of SERHANT. Illinois will serve Chicago and the North Shore. Dina Lissner, previously managing broker of Baird & Warner’s Highland Park office, is leading the operation as managing director.
The launch group includes agents recruited from established Chicago-area brokerages, with additional recruiting expected. SERHANT. now says it operates in 20 markets with nearly 2,500 agents.
Technology is part of the recruiting pitch
Founder and CEO Ryan Serhant is pairing the geographic expansion with the brokerage’s proprietary S.MPLE technology platform. The company recently began rolling out S.MPLE 2.0, which uses coordinated AI agents to support listing preparation, marketing, transaction workflows and reporting.
The Chicago operation is initially using temporary space in Wicker Park and plans a North Shore office, according to local reporting.
The launch adds another national competitor to a Chicago brokerage market with deeply established local and national brands. SERHANT.’s recruiting proposition combines media reach, technology and luxury-brand positioning rather than relying primarily on physical office scale.
For WRE’s purposes, the $600 million figure is company-reported trailing sales volume for the launch group, not independently audited production.
