TECfusions, a Tampa-headquartered global data center operator, announced the strategic acquisition and rezoning of 73 acres in Clarksville, Virginia, for a new data center expansion project.

According to the company, the expansion project involves the consolidation of six parcels into a single contiguous site, with a seventh parcel to be utilized for affordable multitenant housing for senior staff positions. The expansion is designed to deliver an additional 300 MW of high-density data center capacity at the site.

Additionally, to support the expansion, TECfusions plans to repurpose abandoned 138kV transmission lines from a decommissioned coal plant, further exemplifying its commitment to adaptive reuse and efficient resource management. This proposal is currently under discussion with Mecklenburg County and Dominion Electric, showcasing a collaborative approach which underscores TECfusions’ commitment to community engagement and regional energy stability.
